Day 21
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
—JOHN 6:3
Have you ever heard God speak to you?
I think you have. When you read something profound, when you listen to music that moves you, you feel something stir inside of you, don’t you? Maybe you feel a bit emotional, or maybe you feel a settling down of the voices of fear and worry that are usually so loud inside you.
When God speaks, lying voices scurry, silenced and blushing, to the corner.
So hear him today
He is for you
He is with you
With your family
With your children
With their children
For a thousand generations
Don’t you feel a burden lift when you listen to, and REALLY HEAR those words? Don’t you find that peace fills your soul? God is speaking to you.
He says:
I got you
I got your family
I got your children
Don’t worry
I got you
We can’t live without the words of God, did you know that? We can maybe breathe and walk around, but we’re not really living.
“Man does not live by bread alone but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God” (Deuteronomy 8:3).
We weren’t made for the “bread” of this world, we were made for the food that comes straight from heaven. If you look to this world to fill the hunger inside of you, you will eat and eat and never be satisfied; if you look to Heaven for the food that God gives, you will eat and never be hungry again.
My challenge for you today is to go searching for the words of God like a starving man would search for bread. Ask God to speak to you and then open up the Bible and see what He says.
