Jesus was so full of love and compassion that he cried over a city. I feel bad because I have never felt that way about Chilliwack. This place is my home and so many people that live here are hurting and need Jesus. Why am I not moved for my city the way Jesus was for his? How often do I pray for Chilliwack? How often do I dream up ways to transform this city for Christ? The answer is: not often enough.
All I ask for you today is to pray for our town. Our home is hurting and broken and desperately needs Jesus. Let’s ask God to transform our hearts so we have compassion and a will to change this lost town into one that has the hope the Jesus offers.
