Doxology
If there was a theme in yesterday's entries, it would have been gratitude....how grateful we all are that we have Jesus. My mind this morning went back to that gratitude....and the greatness of God. Romans 11 says this:
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”
“Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?”
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
God, you are our HOPE, our SALVATION, our LIFE and our ETERNITY. We love You. I pray that for Your victory at the youth retreat, Your victory on Sunday, Your victory in our lives, Your victory in our church, Your victory in this world.

Read this Psalm this morning and felt that it was written for us, for this fast. According to God's will, the local church is THE hope of the world. Our Vision is to change Chilliwack; one life, one story, one home at at time. When he blesses us, lives are changed - and that's the way it should be.
Psalm 67.
1 May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face shine upon us,
2 that your ways may be known on earth,
your salvation among all nations.
3 May the peoples praise you, O God;
may all the peoples praise you.
4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you rule the peoples justly
and guide the nations of the earth.
5 May the peoples praise you, O God;
may all the peoples praise you.
6 Then the land will yield its harvest,
and God, our God, will bless us.
7 God will bless us,
and all the ends of the earth will fear him.
That Romans 11 verse is awesome. I had a mentoring meeting yesterday and I spoke of the exact same thing - that truth has been on my heart a lot. All we are and all we have is from him - how can we not give it all back in surrender and gratefulness?
I read today Matthew 25. Usually what strikes people in this chapter is the parable of the talents. Today the parable of the 10 virgins really hit home. The parable is more less about being ready for Jesus and his coming. I
really took it to heart because I have to ask myself am I ready? We want more people at Southside and kids church and at youth but are we ready? Are we ready for the sacrifice that its going to take to shepherd those people? Are we ready to change our systems we are comfortable with in order to reach people more effectively? Are we ready to go deeper with God as people will only go as far as the leaders are willing to go themselves? God is and will continue to do awesome things in our church. Are we ready?
