Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you comfortable! We’re more concerned with meeting your real-life needs than with what you wear. So dress casually, and you’ll fit right in with the crowd. Jeans, shorts, and running shoes are more common around here than suits, ties, or high heels.
Do you expect me to give money?
Not at all! You will not be expected to participate in giving financially when you visit. The offering is for those who are regular attenders and consider Southside their church home.
Giving back to God a portion of what we have earned is one aspect of worship, but it’s not expected of our guests. Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something: being encouraged by the service.
Will I have to do anything weird?
No way! At Southside, no one will single you out, ask you to sign anything, or ask you to identify yourself as someone new. You can just be part of the crowd and be as anonymous as you like.
Someone may welcome you, say “hello,” and shake your hand, but you’ll never feel any pressure or be asked to do anything you don’t want to do. Participate as much or as little as you want.
Where do I park?
We have lots of convenient parking at the school, and it’s not hard to find.
Where can I get my questions answered?
When you’re visiting us, you can get your questions answered from just about anyone wearing a name tag. Our greeters or ushers are located close to our main entrances, or you can stop by the Information Center in the gym.
If you have more questions before you visit, you can call or email us. Just go to our Contact Us page.
